Just found this- love it! My original degrees are in medieval history (rather than literature)but I love the way you're playing with the conventions of mediaval Arthurian storytelling (including the very lengthy sub-plots and back stories!).

Thank you so much. I've been playing with Arthuriana since my early teens. I was worried that the sub-plots and backstories might turn people away, but they're all integral to where I'm going - and it's going to be a long road.

I'm a bit similar in that I did a dissertation on Arthurian literature way back in my final year at High School in Scotland (which is an alarmingly long time ago now....) and kept an interest thereafter as the whole corpus was so central to the imaginative world of the people I studied. I also love traditional music and balladry, which has some obvious overlaps!

I don't have any of your drawing skills, though- or your patience in developing a complex story line.

When I was in my second year of high school, I was in the musical Camelot. I read TH White's The Once and Future King and was hooked. It was about that time that I discovered the ballads, etc. All have been hand-in-hand. I had some fun some weeks ago creating the Ballad of Lord Amalud for Calogrenant.

Drawing skills... I cringe when I see what some of my friends can do. As for the storyline... I know where I'm going, but much is serendipitous.
